Szemző Tibor & Takarmánybázis: Kőfaltorta - album release

An old-new formation of Tibor Szemző, the Fodder Base will be presented on this evening on the A38. This project of theirs is characterized by multilingual texts which are as important as the music or the visual spectacle. The 8mm films on this screening were made by the author shot on several continents on nineteen different venues between 2000 and 2017. This is a unique Kafka approach that uses the Kafka universe through the movies, music and spoken languages. On this evening, CUBA, shot in the 80s, will also be presented.

One of Iceland's most special bands, Sólstafir returns after three years to Budapest! The reformed line up released its firs album this year titled Berdreyminn, which can be regarded as their very best so far: whirling great post-guitar music that is impossible to put in any genre bringing Scandinavian melancoly and folklore. It proves they are at the peak of their creativity. Their support will be the also album-introducing Myrkur. The Danish multi-instrumentaist builds up his fragile murderous songs of black metal, pastoral folk and more somewhere halfway between Sigur Rós and Bathory. Support act will come by the great Icelandic Árstídir.

The Greek trio with its own home-made instruments and some electronics builds a dark, moody, deeply vibrant sound, real drone-blown music. Long-lasting cello and bass, electronic modulation, some folk effects: these are the music features of Mohammad (or MMMD), which is somewhere halfway between the subtle, acoustic chamber music and the doom that has drooling.
