Killing Miranda | | The story of the London-based Killing Miranda is connected to the most well-known and oldest scene of the gothic subculture, the Slimelight Club on Torrens Street in London. The band of three boys and a girl-drummer gave its first full-house album-debut concert here, and has played many cultic gigs there since besides having composed a hymn for the loved club.
In the music of Killing Miranda dark laces of melodic waves are broken with industrial ambients, while the singer Richard pulls out those things and splits them in his obscene lyrics, which we feel as most nuisant in our world, while the whole ends up with screaming guitars in our faces.
Therefore the music press places somewhere between Ministry and Marylin Manson this truly cultic band at home, that has been little known abroad so far, in spite of the fact that a critic has written that the song by Killing Miranda are just if the songs of Billy Idol were performed by giant robots.

De Facto | | In the gothic ambient music world of De Facto powerful, flaming melodies mingle in the whirlpool of senses. Strong-character guiatr themes followed by synths, and the hilarious voice and performance of the vocalist-songwriter-guitaist Gyula Tóth make the songs of the De Facto a unique world, in whose lyrics the sensibility, the feeling of passing by and the mysteries melt together in a weird world. The band is working on the recording of their new album titled Karizma that is to be released in next spring.

Garden of Eden | | Garden Of Eden is the most well-known Hungarian representative of the gothrock – or as they call it nowadays: the dark&roll. In the songs by the band formed in 1998 you can trace back the influence of both those representatives of the classical darkwave (Systers Of Mercy, The Mission) and the love-metallers of our time (The 69 Eyes, HIM, To/Die/For). Passion and love overwhelm the lyrics of the Garden Of Eden, which is connected with their powerful, full of energy, really cute music performance. Imre Nyúzó and his band also work on a new album, which will be released in the form of a double CD in 2007, as the third album of the band. |
