A Killah Tofu zenéje erőteljes, bátor és szuggesztív. Az elmúlt három évben a trió komoly figyelmet kaptt az osztrák, szerb és német élőzenei színtéren, és most itt a továbblépés: az első nagylemez. A Killah Tofu zenéje a jazz, funk és punk vad keveréke (ők maguk “jazzpfunknak” nevezik), amely kirángatja a közönséget komfortzónájából. Their music is powerful, bold and evocative. For over three years the band Killah Tofu has been present in the young scene as an esteemed Live Act in Austria (f.e. Zoom! Festival der Jazzwerkstatt Wien), Germany and Serbia. As the next step, the young musicians are now drawing attention to themselves with their debut album Do The Pump. Ten original compositions - a wild mix of jazz, funk and punk or ‘jazzpfunk’ as they like to say - all aim at pushing their audience out of their comfort zone. Turns in rhythm meet atmospheric synthesizer sounds in unsettling but exciting arrangements. True to their motto ‘music must be interesting and dangerous’ the musicians also worked very freely in their studio sessions (Tentakel and Chicken in the Kitchen) and infused their entire album with their easy-going and open-minded spirit.
