Sensual Brutality is the music of contrasts – where beauty and raw energy, sensuality and strength meet.

This evening, Mike Gotthard invites his audience into Mihály Gotthárd’s own musical universe, where the boundaries of jazz, blues, rock and funk dissolve, and the instruments speak the language of the deepest emotions.

The concert focuses on his latest album, Sensual Brutality, which expands on the world of 2016’s Intellectual Brutality and opens up new musical dimensions.

Gergő Borlai – an internationally renowned drummer and composer, one of the most prominent figures in the modern fusion and jazz scene. His unique sound and rhythmic precision have become a trademark of contemporary drumming.

Martin Gudics – an extremely versatile bassist who has proven his musicality in many genres, from pop to jazz. His playing is both technical and sophisticated, always serving the musical unity.

Erik Tempfli – an excellent keyboardist and composer, whose style is characterized by harmonic thinking, powerful grooves and modern soundscapes.

The harmony of the band, its instrumental virtuosity and improvisational energy are guaranteed to offer a captivating concert experience – a real brutally sensual journey.

Mike Gotthard, aka Mihály Gotthárd, Öröm a Zene and Tamás Barta award-winning guitarist/composer, is an outstanding individual among Hungarian guitarists.

We have already encountered his name in countless places, alongside Tibor Tátrai as the guitarist of the band godfater., as a contributor to jazz and fusion bands, and as a session musician behind pop artists.

Born into a musical family in Zalalövő, he was introduced to his instrument at an early age. Initially, he began to learn the basics of blues and rock music in a self-taught manner, and then his private teachers Zoltán Zsoldos "Báró" and Tamás Mohai helped him in this.

In 2011, he was admitted to the jazz guitar department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where he continued to develop under the guidance of Gyula Babos, Sándor Horányi and Attila László. His guitar playing mixes the emotionality of blues, the improvisational nature of jazz, the energy of rock and the rhythmicity of funk.

He has collaborated on countless productions in recent years, with names such as Al Di Meola, Mohini Dey, Jesus Molina, Gary Novak, Gergő Borlai, Hadrien Feraud, Stefano Di Battista, Anton Davidyants and many others...

His first solo album was released in the fall of 2016, titled Intellectual Brutality, which features renowned musicians such as Gary Willis, Scott Kinsey, Gergő Borlai, Anton Davidyants, Federico Malaman, Tamás Barabás.

Since the release of the album, he has performed at several foreign and domestic jazz festivals with his formations, where they have achieved great success.

In 2024, he gave a sold-out concert with his own production at the Palace of Arts, where the great artist could hear the premiere of his upcoming new album, Sensual Brutality. The album will be released in its entirety in 2026, but several singles and video clips have already been released.
