Nightlife is heating up in Budapest too – The Horrors are bringing their new album to us

The English rock band has released a new album entitled Night Life, and the songs will be performed in Budapest on February 24, 2026, at the A38 Hajó concert hall.

The Horrors, now in their twentieth year, are no strangers to Hungarian audiences: they played at the Sziget Festival ten years ago, then at Dürer Kert in 2017, and since then their lives have really taken off. Their latest album, Night Life, was released in March this year and is the first album not to feature the original five members.

At the heart of their new sound are frontman Faris Badwan and bassist Rhys Webb, joined by Amelie Kidd on keyboards and Jordan Cook, known from Telegram, on drums. Original guitarist Josh Hayward, who played a key role in shaping the final form of the album, is also present on the recordings and on tour. The resulting album is both heavy and intense, deeply interwoven with euphoria and melancholy.

The album brings together disparate ideas, although the title is revealing: we can discover not only the noise of pubs on the album, but also the buzzing in our own heads, reaching places where the mind only wanders when everyone else is asleep. Night Life also aims to evoke the raw dynamics of their early albums. Over the course of twenty years, the band has undergone numerous changes, paved by the recognition of audiences and critics, with an NME Album of the Year award in their pocket, and now they have returned to their initial momentum.

The Night Life album is touring Europe, and The Horrors are delighted to announce that, unlike the previously announced trio line-up, they will be performing as a full five-piece band in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and France in September. The remaining European concerts will be rescheduled for early 2026, with the full band lineup and new cities added.

Budapest is among the newly announced stops, so it's worth visiting the A38 Ship on February 24 so that everyone can experience The Horrors' captivating live energy.

Tickets for the Budapest concert will go on sale on August 11 at 11 a.m. on www.livenation.hu and www.funcode.hu.
