SORBONNE SEXUAL
The band Sorbonne Sexual has established the thin line between progressivity and popularity based on the lyrical tradition of Hungarian alternative music.
So far, they have released four albums, two EPs, and several video clips. They have already made a joint song with Beck Zoli, and played as an opening band for the bands 30Y, Elefánt, Quimby, and Supernem. In recent years, they have participated in the Inaugural Performance Program of the Recording Program, and have played in most of the clubs in the capital and the countryside, and the audience has been able to meet them at several festivals. In 2023, the short film for their song "My Mother/My Father" received a Silver Award in the Best Direction category at Klipszemlén. Their latest album, DENIAL.BID.DELETION, was released in the fall of 2024, which can be said to be the band's most mature material to date.
ARCOSOK KLUBJA
The band “Arcosok Klubja”, consisting of young titans, has been active since 2022, and its diverse discography includes both foot-stomping, gentle piano and text-centric guitar music spiced up with saxophone softening distorted guitar, as well as fast-paced rock with folk melodies. Their first album was recorded at the “Sounday” studio with the production work of Gábor “Vasti” Vastag, and then presented to a solid audience in the small hall of the Akvárium Klub at the end of 2024. They bring their vehement sound to the stage without compromise. The guitars cry, the solos hiss, the drums dictate.
LÉGÜRES TÉL
The three members of the band from Pécs, Balázs Bognár (guitar, vocals), Péter Szabó (bass) and Balázs Domonkos (drums), have been working together in different formations for nearly 15 years, but they found their own sound in Légüres tél. Instead of the usual trio sound, the harmonization of the guitars comes to the fore. Creeping drum machines, keyboards and alternating meters try to create a unique musical world, all of which is poured into the form of song structures that differ from the traditional ones. They have been seen at every Made in Pécs festival since 2019, but they have also appeared at several places in Budapest. In 2023, the video clip for their song Canyon was shortlisted at the 7th clip review. Three more of their songs will be released in 2024. They won the opportunity to perform at the festival as part of the 2024 Fishing on Orfű Talent Search.
