A great group melting together classical Indian music, jazz and world music will take you onto a fantastic journey on this night. Their support will be the excellent jazz pianist Káel Norbert.
MoonArra means “three streams” and was formed in 2006 as a fusion of the interaction and collective influences of Indian Classical, Jazz and World Music influences of its members. As part of its explorations and to connect with musicians and audiences worldwide, MoonArra are also ambassadors of culture, bringing the message of peace and harmony, goodwill and tolerance in today’s environment. Their music reflects the band members' quest and fascination for beautiful sounds that emanate world over; how sounds traveled from Northern India in the 13th century, journeyed through Persia, Morocco even up to Andalusia, Spain and the rest of the World.
MoonArra has performed at some of the most significant Jazz and World Music International festivals; such as Java Jazz Festival 2009 Indonesia, Bangkok Jazz festival 2010 Thailand, World Music Festival organised by Lewis Pragasam (Internationally renowned drummer) inaugurated by former Indian PM Shri Manmohan Singh in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in 2010, Fete de La Musique Tour 2010, Asiabeat Anthology Launch 2012, Delhi International Jazz Festival 2012 and UNESCO's International Jazz Day 2013/2014/2015, Tanjazz Festival, Tangiers Morocco 2015, Concert tour of Vienna & Dublin in 2016.
