MC50 (US), The Trousers

This year is the 50th anniversary of MC5's first album Kick Out the Jams release, which has become one of the basic influences for all garage rock and punk bands since so it really deserves all the celebration that Wayne Kramer guitarist-vocalist organises on this occasion. Since from the intial line up Rob Tyner singer and Fred "Sonic" Smith guitarist have passed away, Kramer will replace in it all but himself with highly remaarkable musicians. This all-star team will include Kim Thayil guitarist of Soundgarden, Brendan Canty drummer of Fugazi, Dug Pinnick bass guitarist and singer from King’s X and Marcus Durant singer from Zen Guerrilla. The closing act of the MC50 tour will be in Detroit exactly 50 years after album was recorded in the city. Their program will of course be the Kick Out the Jams. Support will be by the powerful Hungarian band The Trousers.
