Bowie and friends vol.5.: Brian Eno

After the unexpected death of David Bowie in 2016, Hungarian musicians decided to commemorate one of the most influential artists in pop culture on the A38 Boat with a concert showing the details of Bowie's oeuvre. Although the concert was planned to be a one-time event at the time, both the musicians and the audience wanted a rerun. That’s why the band decided to line up for one concert a year, but expand the show with songs from a fellow musician with whom Bowie collaborated. For the first time, 2018 Iggy Pop, for the second time, in 2019 Lou Reed, last year John Lennon, and in the fall of 2021, the songs of Mick Jagger were performed.
The following evening, in April 2022, the musicians will select from Brian Eno’s recordings.
The connection to the keyboard of early Roxy Music dates back to the 70s. Bowie moved to Los Angeles in 1976, disgusted with Los Angeles and then himself, to bring together the three best records of his work with Brian Eno, according to most fans. After a mainstream pop detour in the ’80s, Enoval returned to his artistic self on Outside in 1995.
The concert, as on previous occasions, will be unique and unrepeatable; most of the set is renewed year after year.
