THE BLACK TEA GROUP

“The Black Tea Group” is an underground jazz band. They started out from the jazz department of the music academy and have been playing in this line-up for a few years. Their repertoire mostly dates back to the beginning of avant-garde jazz, which was still a sparkling, energetic genre at the time. But drum’n’bass grooves, folk music and free music are not far from them either.

Balázs Raboczki - alto saxophone

Melissza Fehér - tenor saxophone

Tamás Papp - double bass

Roland Majsai - drums

During this evening, the great Teréz Méhes-Sipos will add color to the world drawn by Restifecske.

- Bálint Kormos-Mayer (guitars, vocals, shaker)

SUNYATA

The band members are students of the Bartók Conservatory and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music's jazz department and play acoustic, improvisational, personal music. This band was brought together by something that is common to all members of the band: to search for the music that is needed to bridge the opposition between the Inner - the unmanifest, formless - and the Outer - the manifested, formal - worlds. They strive to let a long series of intangible things flow out of them, which would only be visible to us without music. This includes workshop work on joint retreats helps to explore the hidden content behind one's own compositions and to tune in to each other.
