The Qualitons
Vintage psychedelia, punchy garage rock, experimental soul, i.e. the musical influences of the 60s and 70s, are mixed in the fantastic songs of The Qualitons at their big autumn concert.
Since reforming in 2024, The Qualitons - who have also made it to Seattle’s KEXP radio - have been releasing new music at a remarkable pace. Following the Club Eco I–II albums, the fully improvised SEAT No. 250208 came out late last year, and work is already under way on reinterpretations and covers of songs by another iconic Hungarian band. The audience will get its first glimpse of these at this concert. Expect specially arranged versions of the band’s current repertoire for the Újbuda Jazz Festival, a more acoustic sound, and a guest performer who will join them on board on September 25.

Eskimo Lunettes
Eskimo Lunettes began in 2021 as the bedroom project of Gergő Csicsics. After releasing eight self-published EPs, the project evolved into a full live band in 2025, featuring Dániel Pataki, Gábor Veres, Péter Márk Kiss, and Gergő Csicsics.
Their music blends a variety of influences, combining surf rock-inspired riffs reminiscent of the 1960s with hypnotic basslines and drum grooves, while noisy synthesizer textures push the sound into increasingly chaotic territory. Improvisation and spontaneity are at the heart of their songwriting and live performances.
