Dutch band YĪN YĪN will release their fourth album, Yatta!, in January 2026, further expanding their unique blend of disco, funk, psychedelia, and Southeast Asian influences. The new record also draws heavily on the mystique of Italo Disco, with trippy guitar effects and endless grooves creating a distinctive atmosphere.
Over the past six years, the Maastricht-based quartet has toured the world, performing at renowned venues and festivals such as Paradiso, North Sea Jazz Festival, and Fuji Rock. From Europe to Asia and all the way to America, their travels and cultural encounters have directly inspired the making of this new album.
Following their earlier releases – The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers, The Age of Aquarius, and Mount Matsu – Yatta! stands as their most complete work to date. It offers a dynamic mix of high-energy dancefloor tracks and more laid-back, atmospheric pieces, making it equally suited for party nights or relaxed listening sessions.
YĪN YĪN remain devoted to their mission of exploring and reimagining rare global sounds while always keeping the dance floor in motion. Yatta! represents the peak of this journey, bridging retro influences with a forward-looking sound.
Swamp Creatures
Swamp Creatures, active since 2017, mixes progressive, desert and krautrock with seventies psychedelic rock, plus a touch of electronics. "For them, the marsh is not dirty and depressing, but rather a fairy-tale, mystical, inviting landscape with its mysteries."
If you are ready to escape reality, visit the mystic morass and shift dimensions with the Swamp Creatures. The music of the swamp evokes the 70's psychedelic rock music while it mixes various folk music motifs, kraut and desert rock themes and electronic music elements.
Since 2017, besides two EPs (Insights and Sequence) the band released their first LP, Lidércfényes in 2023 and regularly swarm Budapest venues and smaller Hungarian festivals.
Swamp Creatures consists of members Zsolt Galántai (guitar and vocals), Emil Celichowski (keyboard), Marcel Krisztel (drums) and Tamás Szallabek (bass).
The event is part of the MOL-New Europe Stage - Emerging Voices of Europe program series, supported by the MOL-New Europe Foundation.
