Márton Benedek talks to Stefan Hertmans
The 21st century narrator of Stefan Hertmans' second novel, The Turned Heart, by the most significant Flemish writer, starts from an existing 11th century historical document that can be read in the manuscript of the University of Cambridge. The novel tells the story of a girl who desperately wandered to the Jewish faith for her love, the scene of which is the wonderful southern French countryside.

Margit Garajszki talks to Irena Douskova
Irena Dousková collected material for her novel for ten years to write the last months of Jaroslav Hašek, one of the most original creators of Czech prose. Hašek retreated to Lipnice in 1922 to complete the Švejk. At that time, he is no longer the old self, but he still pays homage to his greatest passion: with his jokes and slippery poems, he infuriates his neighbors, his Siberian wife, or even the parish priest.

The performance of the Auditorium Ltd.
In our reading theater performance, we selected from the works of contemporary, literary Nobel Prize-winning authors. The writings seek opportunities for silence and finding handholds in the noisy and opaque jungle of our time. In the depressing emptiness of lack, grief, or anticipation, the divine harmony hidden in the depths of silence will become almost unrecognizable. Literary lyrics are also accompanied by live musical backgrounds, which, along with Joanna Concejo’s graphics, further help to create an overall artistic experience.
Texts by Olga Tokarczuk, Svetlana Alexeyevich and Louise Glück, among others, will be performed.

The Sun Braids are an energetic a cappella ensemble of five women. It is a polyphonic intertwining of five free sounds that, together with percussion instruments, form something more, bigger. Their first album, Voice of the World, released at the Hangvet in May this year, is an exciting journey across styles, worlds and destinies - a visceral, in-depth, clear experience. Napfonat reaches to the common musical core of the culture of Hungary and other peoples, in which it seeks the answer to the great questions of life and all of us.

Concert of the Isna Trio
Syarhei Douhusau, Alexei Varuone and Andrei Jeudakimau are experienced Belarusian musicians who were forced to leave their homeland during 2019-2021. The Isna Trio was formed in the village of Gorajec under special circumstances. In their music, contemporary poetry meets dreamlike sounds and Belarusian folklore.
The Isna Trio was formed in June 2021 under the influence of fog-covered meadows and Central European poetry in the village of Gorajec near the Polish-Ukrainian border during an art workshop, where not only musicians but also writers, translators and artists from Central Europe, including Hungary . Their dreamlike world of music thus interacts with contemporary poetry in Central and Eastern Europe. Their songs were inspired by the poems of the Hungarian Tamás Jónás, the Polish Agata Jabłońska and the Lithuanian Dainius Dirgėla. The works are originally sounded, so the music of different languages also influences the layers of music. Ukrainian and Belarusian folk music is also an important component of the ensemble's sound.
