
Barabás Lőrinc Quartet, Futurstan

After the summer debut concert of their third album, the Barabás Lőrinc Quartet is on board again with the new line-up. We will listen to the pieces the new album titled OPEN, the evening will be supported by the Futurstan.
In addition to instrumental pop music and jazz, many styles are combined in the program of the Barabás Lőrinc Quartet, founded in 2015, and both world and classical musical influences can be traced in the compositions. Their latest album has already been born with a new line-up, with familiar style cues such as regular, repetitive shapes, sheer simplicity and playing with a wide variety of styles, yet showing a new sound. The title track Open is all the more ambitious, with influences from rock, funk and classical jazz, members showcasing the best of their knowledge in solos and engaging in a vibrant dialogue with each other.

The Futurstan band, which includes four nationalities, warms the stage in front of the Barabas Barracks, and the roots of the fusion jazz quartet stretch from Tanzania through Hungary to Bulgaria and Russia. Their musical palette is colored by sub-Saharan funk and Mediterranean folk.
In accordance with the legislation in force, entry to the event is only possible on presentation of a valid security card, an EESC certificate or an EU Covid card and an identity card or passport. If we do not have a valid card, we are not able to admit it with a valid ticket, we cannot redeem the purchased ticket in the absence of a valid security card.
