NYOS

Comprised of guitarist Tom Brooke and drummer Tuomas Kainulainen, NYOS are known for their immersive and often physically demanding live shows, having toured intensely throughout their first decade of existence, including tours supporting Zeal & Ardor, Esben and the Witch and The Comet Is Coming as well as appearances at festivals such as Sideways Festival in Helsinki, Fekete Zaj in Hungary and Pelagic Fest in Netherlands. The duo create massive sonic worlds using Brooke’s labyrinthine loops and atmospheric layering alongside Kainulainen’s kinetic drumming, in music that is rhythmic, raw, and eclectic.

Since their formation in 2014, NYOS have carved out a distinctive place within Europe’s experimental and post-rock scenes, characterised by their relentless energy, polyrhythmic complexity, and hypnotic layering.

While still rooted in their signature loop-based approach, Growl is “more ambitious with song soundscapes and compositions”, says guitarist Tom Brooke, naturally embracing a denser, more textured sound with greater attention to atmosphere and tension.

The band will be touring to support their 7th studio album ‘Growl’ throughout the 2nd half of 2025 and into 2026

Hyphen Dash (UA)

Hyphen Dash is a Kyiv-based fusion-jazz band that blends the freedom of improvisation with the rock energy and the pulse of electronic music. Young, daring, and ambitious, the group pushes the boundaries of contemporary jazz while staying deeply connected to their roots and representing Ukrainian new wave jazz on the international level.

The band is a member of the Fusion Jams Community and the flagship project of the No Time For Swing label. Recognized and respected within Ukraine’s jazz scene, Hyphen Dash is steadily expanding and aiming to connect with a wider global audience.

Short Story

Hyphen Dash was born out of spontaneous jam sessions in Kyiv. In their early days, the musicians set up in an old dance hall, recording with a single microphone hanging above the drums — a raw, DIY approach that captured the essence of their sound. What started as experiments grew into powerful compositions, leading them from underground sessions to festival stages and international recognition.

Live Energy

On stage, Hyphen Dash is a pure impulse. They burst like a whirlwind, creating music beyond stylistic boundaries — somewhere between fusion jazz, prog rock, and electronica.

Their performances are full of extraordinary energy and emotional range that stays in memory long after the final note.
