Nagy Csomor András and his band
“We are creating a genre that was conceived in Hungarian instrumental culture and then set out to see the world.”
"Our orchestra primarily builds on the musical traditions of the Carpathian Basin. At the same time, our goal is to shape folk music, café gypsy music, jazz, flamenco, Latin, Balkan and many other genres in our own image without damaging the essential content of the genres. We do all this in a stage-worthy form that is acceptable to both professional and lay audiences, conjuring up a real good atmosphere for those who want to have fun. We want the Hungarian folk music and café gypsy music tradition to become part of the mainstream culture again, modernized and meeting the expectations of the time.
Our orchestra has already visited countless places in the Carpathian Basin. Among these, the Balatonfüred Wine Week, the Gombaszögi Summer Camp, the Tusványos Festival and the MCC Festival, where we are regular performers, and we have also performed at the Hungarian Academy in Rome.

Magyar Híd band – The music that connects
The mission of the Hungarian Bridge Orchestra is to build a bridge between authentic Hungarian folk music and Hungarian café gypsy music.
We draw from the deep roots and rich traditions of these two musical worlds to create a new, yet familiar sound – one where the rhythm of the dance hall meets the passionate melodies of the café.
Our music embodies the diversity of the Hungarian soul, the purity of folk music, the virtuosity of gypsy music, and we sometimes enrich all of this with world music spices to build a bridge not only between past and present, but also between cultures.
The music of the Hungarian Bridge Orchestra – as its name suggests – connects: styles, people and feelings.
