Noir Voyage: Black Ship Sessions is a journey where the boundaries of musical genres are blurred, and only what is truly raw, bold and original remains. It's a celebration of uncompromising creativity and groundbreaking music, where performers aren't afraid to show that true art is about challenging the norm.

HENGE

British space-faring joy-bringers HENGE have been captivating audiences in Europe and the UK since they landed on Earth nine years ago. Their impressive live performances have earned them the Best Live Act award at the Independent Festival Awards, they've released three critically acclaimed albums, and they're regular festival headliners.

Their music is hard to define, somewhere between rave and prog rock – energetic, subversive and playfully innovative. These adventurous extraterrestrials bring a message of hope that will make the audience laugh and uplift at the same time.

KAVASUTRA

Kavasutra is a four-piece band originating from the Vrtojba Creative Zone and making a significant contribution to the creative music scene of the region. All members of the band came from the school of Zlatko Kaučič, where they refined their musical expression for years. Now they are exploring and developing this not only within Kavasutra, but also in numerous other projects.

This year, their second album, Ta veseli dan, was released on Radio Študent – Zarš. The new album also brought new inspirations, deeply rooted in progressive rock, jazz, grunge and 1970s rock music. The band's love for Frank Zappa and Marko Brecelj is palpable.

Kavasutra seeks musical authenticity while representing a socially critical perspective, without taking itself too seriously. All this is spiced up with a healthy dose of irony and absurd humor.

 

The event is realized with the support of Liveurope and the National Cultural Support Manager and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation.
