Fülesbagoly Trip Budapest
The Fülesbagoly Trip is a pop music talent search, for which live music productions from Hungary and Hungarian-populated settlements abroad can apply, be it solo performers, duos or bands.
Within pop music, you can apply from any style. The final will be held in Budapest at Kobuci kert during the day on July 12th. The application conditions can be read below. The productions will be pre-judged based on the submitted audio materials, and the best ones will be invited to the event on July 12th.
✍️Application conditions
- Hungarian bands from Hungary and abroad can apply with live music, instrumental productions
- have your own songs
- performers of any style can apply: pop, rock, jazz, metal, punk, hip-hop, R&B, etc.
- we do not accept applications from bands that were supported by the initial orchestral sub-program of the NKA Sound Recording Program.
The entry fee is 10,000 HUF. If you also apply to the Fülesbagoly Trip in Martonvásár or Keszthely, it will cost you less. The entry fee for two talent scouts is 18,000 HUF, for three, 24,000 HUF. The more locations you apply to, the greater your chance of making it to the finals and returning home with tons of prizes.

- biography
- photo
- a maximum 45-second still video introduction made with a phone (not mandatory, but we would be happy to have it)
- two songs in mp3 format (this can be studio or concert recordings, or phone recordings)
- lyrics for the uploaded songs
- the bandleader's contacts (name, phone number, email address)
- a document proving the payment of the entry fee (print screen/screenshot of the bank statement)
- the tax number of the payer – whether an individual or a business. (Required for the document proving the payment. The document is issued by the foundation.)
Send the entry fee to the account number of the Fülesbagoly Foundation: Unicredit Bank 10918001-00000097-60500014. In the comment, write the name of the band/performer and the word “Foundation support”.

June 25, 2025 midnight
If we select you for the final, you will have to give a 15-minute concert. There will be a common backline on stage, which will be provided by the organizers.
Prizes, awards
Festival performances
Performance at the Campus Festival, the Szeged Youth Days, the Dunapart Festival and the Újbuda Birthday Festival in 2027.
MOME Media Design Award
Third-year students of the MOME Media Design Department will make a music video for a special award-winning band. The video will be produced between September and December 2026, and will be presented in January 2027.
WMMD Award
The winning production will receive the following prizes from WMMD:
- Consulting: optimizing digital presence, rights management information, the importance of registering with collective rights managers, etc.
- Hallgass hazait Spotify playlist: the artist's next song will be featured on the playlist for a week, and the artist will be featured on the playlist cover.
- Content production for the Hallgass hazait TikTok channel with the artist.
Performance at Petőfi Akusztik
A one-hour concert on Petőfi TV's Petőfi Akusztik program.
Performance at Petőfi Rádio
The 3 finalist bands will also be able to give 5 live concerts on Petőfi Rádió's Hajrá magyarok! program. One of their extra prizes is an interview on the Kultúrfitnesz program.

Offered by Péter Bársony-Németh, full recording of 1 song + producing work.
Kőbányai Zenei Stúdió Award
Free participation in a special award production with full board (accommodation, meals) in the Kőbányai Zenei Stúdió 2025 summer freshman camp, in all its music courses and workshops.

JOY OF MUSIC - Gábor Újfalusi Award
Awarded to a single musician for outstanding musical talent.
The winner of the Fülesbagoly Trip will advance to the national grand final of Öröm a Zene, from where the 10 best productions will advance to the live audition of the starting orchestra program of the Hangfogláló Program. (The basic condition for this is to submit a valid application to the NKA Hangfogláló Program's call for applications supporting starting performers.) The bands selected there may win the NKA Hangfogláló Program's application support for starting performers, which can be up to 4,000,000 HUF.
In addition, the winner of the Öröm a Zene series final will win a purchase of musical instruments and sound equipment worth 1,000,000 HUF from products manufactured or distributed by the HANOSZ membership.
