The band Budapest Bár, celebrating its 15th anniversary, is playing again in its favorite place in Budapest, on the soft waves of the Danube. Come and have a great time together on October 12 in the Great Hall of the A38 Hajó. The band led by Róbert Farkas, accompanied by Vera Tóth, Juci Németh, Frenk, Krisztián Szűcs, László Kollár-Klemencz and Misi Mező, will take the stage to sing well-known old and new songs together with you.

Budapest Bár has become one of the most popular bands in Hungary with its gypsy arrangements of heart-wrenching and heart-warming songs. The band owes its magical appeal to the excellent musicians and cult singers of Hungarian rock music. Budapest Bar, which was originally born on a single record, operates with twelve singers in a completely unique line-up - perhaps that is why it has become the most sought-after concert band, a regular performer at festivals and big stages. The roots of the unique style that has become the Budapest Bar's trademark go back to the world of Budapest coffee houses in the 1920s and 30s. Well-known and popular songs are reinterpreted on the basis of gypsy music, combined with elements of jazz, pop, rock, klezmer and many other musical genres - thereby creating the foundations of a new musical trend, the gypsy lounge. The original intention of the head and founder of Budapest Bárt, Róbert Farkas, was precisely to give new impetus to the genre of gypsy music in cafés, keeping alive and renewing the old traditions.

Thanks to the band, long-forgotten tunes have once again become part of the public consciousness and the culture of young people. Many old songs were dusted off, forgotten ones were revived, well-known ones were dressed in new clothes, and recently many new songs were also written. Ages, cultures, styles and age groups meet in the production - perhaps that is why both young and old love the band, which has now become a multi-generational favorite.

The Budapest Bar zigzags between musical styles and takes you out of everyday life. Joyful music for open ears! Members of the band: Róbert Farkas (violin, guitar), Sándor Ürmös (dulcimer), Károly Ökrös (accordion), Richárd Farkas (double bass), Bence Kisvári (drums)

The band celebrated its 10th birthday in December 2017 - on this occasion they were summed up and renewed: Best of their album summarized the past and their new album, Budapest, was born. The concert will be a mix of past and future in 2018 on the eve of a new year!

The Budapest release, released in November, is not only special because almost every song is about the capital, but also because of the many songs that have been overwhelmed by their new songs - they show a lot of them, but they also choose from old favorites.
