A night with Lőrinc Barabás (BL Live Act, Random Szerda, BL Quartet)

Lőrinc Barabás trumpeter, composer has recently been touring with three different formations both in Hungary and abroad. This night all three formations can be seen in one concert.
Random Szerda (Random Wednesday) is a monthly improvisational concert series with a different line-up every time. The fully extemporal music sounds very much like a kind of transjazz. Many of these concerts were recorded and at the end of last year two of these recordings were released (Keys, Maps 2018).
Ádám Czitrom - guitar
Gábor Horváth ‘Tojás’ - keyboards
Gergely Drapos - bass
With the Live Act formation Barabás performs on his own, playing his original compositions for loop station, trumpet and keyboards. Compositions which sometimes sound like meditative, sometimes like electronic dance music create a unique musical world (Sastra 2013, Elevator Dance Music 2015).
The Barabás Lőrinc Quartet has released two albums since its formation in 2015 (Berdance 2016, Other Than Unusual 2018). Their music is somewhere between instrumental pop music and jazz with flavors from many other genres. Barabás’s pieces show the influence of world music and classical music.
Zoltán Cséry - keyboards
Attila Herr - bass
Ábel Mihalik - drums
