Alex Henry Foster & The Long Shdows (CA), special guest: BUZZ

Explore the boundaries of post-rock at Alex Henry Foster's concert - the former frontman of Your Favorite Enemies brings his breathtaking musical world to Budapest with his backing band, The Long Shadows!
According to Rolling Stone, Canadian Alex Henry Foster is an "unexpected DIY artist" who has built a fascinating musical universe by following his own path and processing his own pain. Dreamlike post-rock explosion, poignant stories, improvisational ecstasy – this is what his first solo album, Windows in the Sky, and its reimagined version, Standing Under Bright Lights, recorded at the legendary Montreal Jazz Festival, offer.
The performance led to a series of live concerts, during which Foster and his backing band, The Long Shadows, became an unmissable live production – earning critical acclaim and enthusiastic reviews that highlight their unique, improvisational, unpredictable musical character.
Since then, we have received two new albums and a live concert recording from him, the latest album, "A Nightfall Ritual (Live in Köln, July 27, 2024)" was released on May 16.
The special guest of the evening is BUZZ, a post-rock trio from Budapest formed in 2019. Their music is characterized by transcending traditional genre boundaries, alternating between floating and pulsating, tingling instrumental themes. The band treats its compositions as complex narratives – each song tells a separate story, while leaving its meaning to the listener.
With their 2020 debut, “Valium”, they immediately became an emerging player in the Hungarian post-rock scene, and then gained international attention. The single “Inside” was played by Chilean, Canadian, Belgian and German radio stations, and their first, three-track EP was mentioned by the Hungarian music press as one of the most important releases of the year.
Their first full-length album, Blissful Dystopia, was released at the end of 2022, combining elements of post-rock and psychedelic rock in its nine tracks. One of the songs from the album was included in the “Best of 2022” selection of one of the most respected platforms in the genre, WherePostRockDwells, along with bands such as Oh Hiroshima, My Sleeping Karma, Russian Circles, Toundra, MONO and Lost in Kiev. In their new EP, scheduled for the first half of 2024, they experiment even more boldly and invite listeners on a truly special musical journey.
