ADANA TWINS
Over the last few years the Adana Twins have found that their penchant for deep, dark, emotionally-charged music has fueled the evolution of their sound, from the house-inspired productions that thrust them into the limelight, into a more nuanced, techno-influenced vibe. Both men grew up with techno, coming from Hamburg where the sound was so prevalent, it is part of their DNA and, as they have matured as artists, so too has their sound and outlook on life itself. As part of their progression the guys have formed a close bond with Berlin’s iconic Watergate stable, joining the family in 2017 and utilising the new relationship to push forward with their techno-fueled ambitions. It all started with ‘Etah’ which dropped in February 2017 on the Watergate Affairs 02 compilation. Since then they have served up the ‘Flower Of Cane’ EP and its follow-up ‘Jupiter’, plus ‘Zuul’ which appeared on Watergate’s epic compilation celebrating its 15 year anniversary. Next up: Watergate 25 and their remix for Patrice Bäumel’s decade old moster of a track ‘Roar’.

KID SIMIUS
Adept, versatile, dedicated and full of positivity, Kid Simius is a wizkid who has dedicated himself to the ethos: ‘There are no labels, no tags, just music’. Born in Granada, Spain, and currently based in Berlin, Kid Simius circumvents genre limitations to embrace and merge a myriad styles. Delving into electronic music, ambient, surf-inspired electronica, Balearic, disco and lots more, this is an artist who puts good energy and human connection above genre labels.
Since relocating to the German capital he has created unorthodox beats as part of the Marsimoto crew, delivered remixes for Parcels or Beatsteaks, released many successful tracks as a solo artists on his label ‘Jirafa Records‘ (remixed by Echonomist, Paul Kalkbrenner, Fort Romeau & Magit Cacoon) and co-wrote a platinum-certified chartbuster on the side, with Marteria’s ‘Lila Wolken’. Also appearing on festival stages as diverse as Melt!, Fusion, Berlin Festival and SXSW, as well as supporting WhoMadeWho & Major Lazor.
Respected tastemakers the Adana Twins also signed his track ’Ford Granada’ to their TAU label. More recently he released the Chicken Mango EP on Jirafa, guests on the EP include Gerd Janson and Spanish indie band Hinds. Besides his studio work and on-stage performances, Kid has a popular radio show on German station, Ego FM, called ‘Acido Flamenco Rave Club’ which focuses on club culture (guests so far have included Ellen Allien, Fjaak, Octo Octa, DJ Tennis and a selection of great newcomers)
On the radio, or in the studio, on the road or simply jamming and freestyling, Kid Simius makes music in the moment and for the moment. There’s no fakery or pretence, just pure, deep authentic love for music in its many beautiful forms.
