Žagar

Žagar

After six years, Žagar released a new studio album. The album Woods, Spirits & Sorcery brought another change of style in the life of the band and also opened a new era. The album features renowned guest musicians such as Spanish vocalist Carmen Estevez, percussion and flute artist Gozlán Fatima and trumpet player Lőrinc Barabás.

Žagar's concerts and albums led by Balázs Zságer are always characterized by renewal. In the last few years, they have moved away from pop music almost completely and turned much more towards psychedelic electronic music. On their new album, nature and the supernatural will play a big role. The choice of theme is more surreal than ever: Native American diableros, tropical rituals, singing mushrooms, flying tigers. A special oriental sound appears in several tracks. The album was praised by names such as Richard Dorfmeister, FM4 radio in Vienna, Different Grooves in Italy or Faze Magazine in Berlin.

A remix EP from the album’s first single trek, Lost Tribes, was also released recently. No lesser international names have done transcripts like Marcus Henriksson, Deadbeat or Doyeq.
