Thanks to his rise to jazz and classical music, he touches on the very versatile musical backgrounds of Keith Jarett, Erik Satie, Bill Evans, Jay Dilla, Ricardo Villalobos and the Arab diva Oum Khalthoum.

When he’s not playing music, Viken focuses his energy on supporting and nurturing this special and rich world of music. He founded Denature Records, which, as he describes, is more than a label and more than a family of artists. He also organizes his own events at the SOUQ Festival.
