SUNLESS (Minneapolis, USA) craft a uniquely dissonant and angular strain of death metal, blending technical precision with bleak atmospheres. With releases like Ylem and Urraca, they’ve cemented their place among the most compelling bands in the new wave of progressive death metal. Coming back to Europe after one succesful tour last year.
DEFACEMENT International dissonant death metal band Defacement released two records in little over a year and has been touring intensively. They are working hard to promote their latest release, Doomed, out in August 2025 via Avantgarde Music / Unorthodox Emanations, and are looking forward to be on stage again.
Beneath The Void
The band was founded in 2007 by Krhul (Funebre, Nocrul, Skullthrone, etc.), who was still a drummer at the time, under the name Kill With Hate. He was soon joined by Tamás Meilinger (bass guitar) and Ákos Olt (guitar, ex-Archaic), who were soon followed by Márton Hartvig (guitar). Things started to get more serious in 2008, when the well-known figure of the Hungarian underground, Krisztián Gyémánt (ex-Sin Of Kain), joined as a vocalist. The band recorded their first single, Evolution of the beast, in 2009, which was released in 2010. That year, Krhul was replaced by Bence Turcsák as drummer. In 2011, Tamás Meilinger left the band and was replaced by Patrik Pornói, who, in addition to playing bass, also took on background vocal duties. This year, the musical work on the first full-length album was completed, which was finally released in 2012 under the name Voices of Obliteration. The album was released in Hungary under the author's edition, and internationally by the Canadian PRC music. In 2015, Márton Hartvig and the band parted ways. His last work was “Fuck Humans”, which can be heard on the single that was later named Grief. He was replaced by underground veteran Attila Kovács (Sear Bliss, ex-Watch My Dying, ex-Superbutt). The band started working on their new album in 2016. After many years of delay, they decided to release the album under a new name that better suited the fresh music: Beneath The Void. The album was released in mid-2021 courtesy of Metal.hu. After the release, Attila Kovács decided to focus on other areas of life, so he was replaced by Tibor Szokán (ex-Symmetry of the Void).
