Skopje Via - Gypsy Project is a musical project formed as a synergy of experience, creative vision, and strong stage presence of the leaders of the band, namely, Mišel Trajkovski, an accomplished musician and composer with portofiilo of international collaborations, and Jana Stojanovska, a renowned Macedonian actres, songwriter & vocalist.
Inspired by Balkan and Roma musical traditions, Skopje Via - Gypsy Project blends authentic intepration of traditional songs with a bohemian touch. Guided by the motto “Being Gypsy is a state of the soul,” the project celebrates freedom trough a dynamic multilinguistic musical expression.
The band’s journey started with a live concert and promotion of a single “Under This Sky” at Intermezzo Music Bar, Skopje on 09th July 2025. Skopje Via has performed at Roma Fest, Skopje on 2nd august 2025th, and show case at PIN conference on 26th November at the main stage. Later they held a concert in Budapest organized by Balkan Heritage Budapest,on 15th October 2025.
In the last two years, the band participated in Serbia’s theatre-music spectacle “Brod plovi za mBeograd” at Atelje 212 & performs as a opening act at Rade Šerbedžija’s concerts.
The band is currently in the studio and recording new music.
