With his trio ZOOM (Nils Wogram (tb) and Philipp Schaufelberger (guit)), Niggli has played numerous concerts and at jazz festivals (Moers, Saalfelden, Salzburg, Mulhouse) all over Europe. The trio1s first CD,
Spawn of Speed was celebrated as a masterpiece by the international jazz press. Now Niggli has extended his trio with two equally independent soloists and thus formed a highly promising European quintet, which gave its brilliant debut concert at the Willisau Jazz Festival in 2002.
