On bike around the world - Talk with Herb van Drongelen

In 1997 Herb van Drongelen decided to leave for a brave adventure: he sat on Rosinante, his bike named after Don Quijote’s horse, and started his 110 thousand kilometres long tour around the world. This journey took him in six years to sixty-nine countries (including Hungary) on five continents, during which he took ten thousand photos. The photos that make up this exhibition were printed one after the other onto a canvas 60 meters wide following a time- and kilometre schedule – to make us feel the length of the journey three times longer than the circuit of the globe.
