Decades after shaping the sound of funk alongside James Brown and George Clinton, Fred Wesley is embarking on a new journey that bridges his jazz roots with an exciting future: Generations.

Generations is a versatile trio featuring Fred Wesley on trombone, Leonardo Corradi on organ, and French drummer Tony Match.

Initially brought together to pay homage to the soulful jazz of legendary organist Jimmy Smith, the trio quickly clicked – and the groove hasn’t stopped since.

The Generations Trio doesn’t just play jazz – they groove through rap, soul, and funk, creating a sound that’s as diverse as it is dynamic. This versatile trio features the legendary Fred Wesley on trombone, Leonardo Corradi on organ, and French drummer Tony Match. Originally brought together to pay homage to the soulful jazz of organ legend Jimmy Smith, the three musicians found an undeniable chemistry. Now, they’re taking that groove to new heights, blending genres and keeping the rhythm alive wherever they play.
