Eddy Terstall’s sweet’n’sad comedy tells the story of a special friendship: the vivacious owner of a coffe shop in Amsterdam, Simon, known for his broad humour, meets the gay Camiel upon a traffic accident of lucky outcome. Terstall’s film tells with refined means and extraordinary comprehension the story of their special relationship, the tragic friendship burdened with long breaks. This tragicomedy was nominated for the Oscar-award in the cathegory of Best Foreign Language Film.
