Praised by France Inter, Fip, Nova and Gilles Peterson, David Walters has built a distinctive sound blending Afro-Caribbean roots with electronic beats and acoustic folk. After returning to music in 2020 with the widely acclaimed Soleil Kreyol, he has continued to shape his hybrid universe through projects like Nocturne, Bow Down, and Soul Tropical, merging afrobeat, kompa, hip-hop, and Caribbean traditions with modern production. His 2026 album Ti Love — featuring the spiritually infused collaboration Kité Koulé with Keziah Jones — further expands his vibrant, dance-driven yet deeply personal musical world. Based in Marseille, Walters now carries his electro-Creole energy across continents, creating joyful, border-crossing music rooted in cultural richness and global connection.
