As during the last years the evening of the Fankofón Fesztivál will be held at the A38 Ship where after Acid Arab, Elodie Frege and Perturbator this year will feature Paris' most all-round singer-personality: Cleo T. will bring her etheric folk, cabaret noir, French chanson and Balkan beats that can all be involved in her stunningly diverse and creative personality and magnificent talent.
Cleo T - Shine Project (FR)
Cleo T.’s second record is more than music. Much more. In this multidisciplinary, synesthetic piece of art, song, dance, painting, analogue instrumentation and digital video art seduce one another. World music in its finest sense, “And Then I Saw A Million Skies Ahead” sees musicians from eleven countries meet, as do gospel and Balkan beats, Neo Soul and chanson, tender electronica and French Pop, velvety crooning and fresh funk. During performances, created every time anew and always in flux, music and movement are reflected in projections and light effects, hence made visible in an interactive choreography reminiscent of bioluminescent phenomena. Art for all senses.
“Take You to The Sea” – claims Belau about their compositions. Belau started as a solo project by Peter Kedves in 2015. He was inspired by his travels and adventures abroad. The idea to translate his experiences into music came to him in a beautiful, remote village on the pristine Croatian seashore. In the world of Belau a constant buoyant mood and a sense of optimism meets innovative electronic beats. The message of Belau is a simple one: leave the busyness and monotony of everyday life behind, get rid of our barriers, and experience every moment to its fullest. Belau takes their listeners to cheerful places, filled with sunshine, where one can relax, unwind and find peace and harmony. The music starts you on an inner journey which is a gift in our world of increasing isolation. This genre of elegant and clean beats capturing the feeling of summer has been dubbed as sundowntempo. Belau’s debut song, Island of Promise, is being released in September. A single-take music video has been shot for the song by critically acclaimed and award winning Attila Damokos. The long term goals of the ever-growing Belau project include the creation of multiple concept LPs, each capturing the vibe of a different geographical region around the world.
