Thomas Azier (born 1987 in the Netherlands) is a composer, producer, singer and performer. During his time in Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam, he made 5 albums in the last 10 years and became a fresh and lively voice of avant-pop music.
Thomas Azier, who started out as an electronic pop artist, has now found a voice for his unique, own pop music. The album The Inventory of Our Desire (2023) already clearly indicated the path he is on, he went deeper in the discovery of his own sound.
Thomas: ‘’My interest in French singers and German bands like Can and Tangerine Dream come together on this album. Working with jazz saxophonist Maarten Hogenhuis, drummer Simon Segers and experimental guitarist Obi Blanche encouraged me to play with my voice and morph it into different identities. This gave me an exciting range of possibilities. Ultimately, through collaboration and experimentation, I seek my own form of pop music.‘'
