Zdob si Zdub (MD)
Zdob si Zdub has been kicking for already twelve years by now as one of the funniest and craziest bands of East-Europe. Their music can be described in the best way with their own words: hardcore Moldovenesc, it is hardcore from Moldavia. Having much in common with the Red Hot Chili Peppers’s model, their hard, kicking, funk-based hardcore with a radio-friendly sound carries powerful etno elements from Moldavia and the Balcans, which brought them huge popularity.
This band performing basicly in Roumanian and Russian, and lately a few songs in English too, has a massive audince in Moldavia, Roumania and Russia alike, they are constant performers of the Roumanian Music Televion award festivals. They have performed in Hungary before, giving stormy concerts at the Sziget Festival, and also at the Művészetek Völgye festival. Folk hardcore and Balcan beats: this is Zdob si Zdub.
