The SoulClap Band is a five piece ensemble that first emerged from the studio works of the DJ/producer collective known as SoulClap Budapest in 2010. The group quickly became a significant factor of the Hungarian underground scene, thanks to an ongoing series of live performances, including frequent collaborations with a number of notable MCs, singers and musicians from a wide range of musical backgrounds. Their style is rooted in the traditions of soul, funk and jazz music of the 60s and 70s, combined with elements of modern electronica and future beats, creating their unique brand of hip-hop delivered in a raw, improvisational manner. The group is featured on Brooklyn based MC, iLLspokinn's forthcoming album, produced by SoulClap Budapest, set to be released in November, 2013.
