The Scarlet
Celtic punk became an inevitable subgenre in Hungary, supported by The Scarlet from Budapest since 2013, playing the heavier style of this music. The band had the opportunity to have their second (!) gig on the Sziget Festival. Touring in Hungary frequently they released an EP in 2015 and an LP in 2017 – with these the band took its place in the local underground scene once and for all. Their music is heavily influenced by the irish-pirate themed folkpunk, and as the band grew older, the new songs got meanings and messages to deliver as well. After three spring gigs on the A38 ship, now the six-piece Scarlet returns for an autumn gig on the 7th September shouting ’Yo-Ho’, to make the good ol’ folks dance and drink again!
