
The Hostages Went Home
The Hostages Went Home is a progressive post-rock band formed in Budapest, Hungary in 2010. Currently, the band consists of Adam Mayer (bass), Eszter Kádár (drums), Márton Miskolczi (guitar) and Susana G. de Quirós (vocals and guitar).
Bassist Adam Mayer, alma mater of the group was meeting some musician friends: the drummer Katalin Helfenbein (ex-First Aid 4 Souls), the guitarist and Swede Henrik Rost, the Képzelt Város’ guitarist, Márton Miskolczi. Very soon the singer/songwriter Susana García de Quirós would arrive to the band.
During 2011 the band went through several changes: after Henrik left, Susana took up the guitar, while Eszter Kádár (from Zombie Girlfriend) substitutes Katalin and collaborates on their first full lenght album.

The sound of the group holds various influences of different types of rock. Their songs are passionate, dramatic, expressive, melancholic and sometimes forceful and direct.
In March 2011 they released their first EP, entitled Up in a Tower, with four songs that treat the topic of isolation and the need to break with it.
In October 2012 their album Birdkin came out.
