Shanti Ska Tones was founded in the summer of 2006. Originally there were only six members and the band and the style of it became „serious” due to an "accident". They knew they wanted to play SKA but they couldn't decide which genre inside of it. So they chose traditional ska it is the footsteps of Skatallites.
In 2007 they had to change their singer and „drafted"an additional trumpet player.
