PASO's Roots Rockers

PASO's Roots Rockers

Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra's reggae-dub sideproject: the PASO's Roots Rockers was formed in the summer of 2005. The band was brought to life because of the intention of PASO members to play something more laid back or relaxed material than in their main project. The Roots Rockers play reggae and dub versions of PASO's songs, some classic reggae tunes and some songs composed exclusively for this project, sometimes with a touch of ska, but mainly influenced by the psychedellic and early reggae sounds. The two band shares the same line-up, except that the Roots Rockers has an additional member Dr.Dermot (responsible for the effects and sampler - originally plays in Irie Maffia) and some frequently appearing guests György Barna (violin - originally plays in Kolompos Band) and mc Kemon (originally appearing in Irie Maffia & Gimme Shot). PASO's Roots Rockers focuses on the more laid back tunes, however the band's releases can easily include songs with almost the same versions as the original PASO releases (or the other way round), because of that fact that the original PASO albums try to cover a pretty wide range of styles and moods. PASO's Roots Rockers first release Perc Street Blues. Megalith album (Budapest Ska Mood) in a version featuring Dr.Ring-Ding..
