Pakava It

Pakava It (RU)

In spite of the fact that the most internationally well-known Russian ska bands come from St. Petersbourg (Leningrad, Spitfire, Markscheider Kunst) the Pakava It from Moscow is not only one of the most remarkable and determining bands of the city scene, but of whole Russia. Pulsating, broken rhythms,  banjo and sousaphone-solos, experimental elements and onstage madness are the basic features of this great orchestra. Pakava It does not only perform in well-known clubs and on famous festivals, but they are also the frequent guests of European carnivals. The frontman of the band playing on the crazy huge reed sousaphone, Sasha Notchin is one of the most interesting figures on the underground scene.
