„Maszkura és a tücsökraj” – Maszkura (pron. “mascura”) and the crickets – is a hungarian jazz-pop group, who combine a variety of contemporary styles (swing, latin, funk, hip-hop and hungarian dance rythms) with their unique lyrics written by the singer and accordeon player Maszkura, the transylvanian multi-instrumentalist. The band won several musical contests in Hungary and did a huge number of gigs including foreign festivals in the last 2 years. Their first album debuted the january of 2009 at one of Hungary’s biggest labels, CLS Records.
