Löbe Radiant Dub System (F)
Löbe Radiant Dub System, originally a duo named Löbe, formed in 1996. The year 2000 signalled a change for them when they became Lobe Radiant Dub System. They have played some 200 concerts in their time along side such acts including Scorn, High Tone, Ezekiel & General Dub.
Their most recent album Vibe Disciple was released mid last year following on from the earlier dub albums, Dédales and Ondulation. It’s the first time they have thrown 4 musicians playing guitars into the mix of their usual bass, drums, electro feel music, complete with a flirtation with hip hop. Löbe Radiant Dub System sound can be described as a mix of electro dub and breakbeat hop. On Vibe Disciple they have infused a blend of many different voices on certain tracks. From sublime sounds to a dub mix with the Jamaican tones of Kingkiko (No More Babylon) to an introspective spoken word track with strong leanings towards trip hop.
