The band was formed in 2012 as Five Salmons by Benjamin Lengyel (rhythm guitar/vocals), Tamas Abai-Szabo (acoustic guitar/vocals), and Ambrus Borbely (drums, percussion). Further on, Balazs Posztos (bass) joined, and the current set-up was jelled in 2013 with Abel Zwickl. The band left its former name on the 1st of May in 2014, and took up the name ’Hello Hurricane’, releasing the first single, ’Follow’.

The guys are mostly into the indie and alternative genre. Their style was greatly influenced by Foals, Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, and Bombay Bicycle Club.
