Four Bones Quartet
The Four Bones Quartet was formed in 2002 by graduates of the Music Academy, who have been truly committed to this elegant and extraordinary musical instrument. The young trombonists’ musicality and their openness helped create an outstanding group with a repertoire that ranges from early Renaissance music to the contemporary compositions of the 21 st century, from classical melodies through light rhythms to the world of jazz.
Through their performances at music events and festivals in Hungary and abroad, they have gained international renown. They are regulars at the Sziget Festival, at the programmes of the Night of Museums, the Festival of Museums, the Plein Art Contemporary Art Festival and the Söndörgő Festival, and have performed in the Budapest Palace of Arts, the Grand Hall of the Music Academy, the Ludwig Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Institut Français de Budapest as well. Their international tours have taken them to Austria, the UK, Romania and Germany.
