Across the universe of improvised musicality with no compromise, Ethnofil invites you to a journey flowing across atmospheres and moods of the greatest versatility. World and ethnic elements are flavoring the eclectic blend of music ranging from jazz-rock to downtempo electronica. The live performance, supported by stunning projected visuals, definitely leads the audience to an “out-of-this-world music experience.
From more than 650 bands, Ethnofil has been awarded the “Grand Prize” of 2012 Talentometer of A38 ship. Since then, the group has become an integral part of the Budapest underground scene playing regularly in clubs, art-and music festivals all across the country and its neighborhoods. Apart from the regular shows, the group of seven often get involved in multi-art performances with contemporary ballet, silent movies or improvised live visuals.
With the third LP to be recorded in 2016, the band has come a long way from its debut album, “Fülön Csíp (2011)” emphasizing Hungarian folk music , through the immensely eclectic “Kókuszmúzeum (2014).
