Deadwing was formed in 2007 by Antal Turi (guitars), Ferenc Jakab (drums) and Csaba Rom (keyboards), two years after the end of the previous common band, Sin of Kain. The basic idea was to make the music they've ever wanted, with many electronic, analogue and psychedelic themes. After some discussions and pre-rehersals Balazs Safrany, Norbert Petrovics and Patrik Gorog joined the band who are responsible for the second guitar, the bass and the vocal. While they wrote the songs, and made some improvisations live and at home studio, they definitely knew this is the music they've ever wanted to play. It is a positive fact that their favourite bands made a huge impression on their music, such as Genesis, Katatonia, Opeth, Meshuggah, Dream Theater, and of course Porcupine Tree, but at the same time, they aimed to make some unique music while they hold these impressions and the cheer of the favourites. The first release called "leave no trace" is based on these.
