Cannibal Corpse is the death metal itself. The band formed in Buffalo back in1988, it is almost twenty years ago features the brutal guitar-slaughtering by Chris Barnes, later the satanic rattling by George Fisher, the tight drum-bass pulsation, the lyrics coquetting with horror, and last but not least the the wonderful, but only slightly low-keyed covers by Vincent Locke. These altogether made Cannibal Corpse one of the most radical and most cultic bands of the style at the same time.
