Balogh Kálmán is undeniably one of the most recognized cimbalom-players in Hungary, who has cooperated both with musicians playing traditional folk music and those engaged in completely modern, like the Translobal Underground. His 1996 founded Gypsy Cimbalom Band features six virtuoso musicians melting together the Romani music with jazz, swing, klezmer and ragtime, which ends up in a unique multi-coloured and universal music coming up with new surprises in each minute.
