Parov Stelar on MySpace

With his unmistakable sound-mix of Jazz- and Swing samples and electronic music, Parov Stelar has secured his own unique position in the world of music. His eagerly awaited fourth album “Coco” will be released soon. With the „Coco Tour 2009“, the tracks of his new LP and many of his well known tracks from previous albums and singles will be presented on stage.

After his initial record releases, using different aliases as well as his real name, Marcus Füreder founded Etage Noir Recordings in 2003. Since then he has released all music under the moniker Parov Stelar.
In 2004 his „KissKiss EP“ and the soon after released album LP „Rough Cuts“ provided his breakthrough in the international electronic music scene. His uncommon approach to music-production combined with an assured sense of sound-aesthetics led to massive respect from his colleagues and the reputation as the pioneer of a new genre (which Rainer Trüby once called „Minimal Jazz
House“).

The following albums „Seven and Storm“ and „Shine“, as well as numerous singles and remixes made Parov Stelar one of the most reliable and successful artists of his kind. His tracks have been used in numerous TV-ads and soundtracks, while being licensed to more than 600 compilations.

After starting as a solo artist – not so uncommon in the electronic music scene – and gaining initial success, in 2005 Parov Stelar decided to expand his on-stage music with a full band. This collaboration with four musicians noticeably infl uenced his work. Since that time, the Parov Stelar Band has become very popular, captivating both the audience and organizers of many festivals, venues and clubs with the magic and dynamic energy of their liveshows.
Locations with a capacity of 3000 people or more - especially in Eastern Europe - are routinely sold out when the band comes to town as headliners. Besides the fact that Parov Stelar enjoys great popularity in Eastern Europe, he also won over crowds in Asian countries such as Russia, Indonesia and South Korea during the last year.

Just Banks

Just Banks aka Joko13 lives and works in Linz/Austria.
He began his musical career in 1994 by founding a local Hip Hop project. Later on he started DJing and took the road from Drum´n´Bass to Techno, House and Breakbeats.

By having a fancy for many different genres and playing nationwide gigs Just Banks rapidly gathered experience and his sets are now like a sure shot for the demanding party crowd.  In 2004 he launched the netlabel Comatronic which soon gained a high reputation in the netaudio community and minimal techno scene. With his productions and dj sets being caught in a crossfire of influences, they always represent a well selected and party-approved blend of different styles, tempos and grooves.

Just Banks is a long-time musical companion of Marcus Füreder aka Parov Stelar and in 2006 he engaged the talents of the San Francisco based duo Blaktroniks, who came up with the catchy vocals for his first release on Etage Noir entitled 360 Degrees.

AG-Trio

Having gained experience in working and travelling as producers, solo-live-acts and DJs the three protagonists teamed up to create an innovative live-performance, mixing up vocals with production- and DJ-techniques and an excentric and intoxicating live-show. The mélange of catchy hooklines and vocals with very danceable House-Beats soon created a lot of euphoric feedback and is even said to be one of the best in Austria.
The A.G. Trio - named after the legendary and completely fictional bandleader Adalbert Günther - performed at numerous places around the globe, like the Zocalo in Mexico-City, the Platinum-Awards-Ceremony of Rammstein at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin or the Refact-Festival in Belgrade, just to mention a few.
With their pockets full of live-experience the three stage-wizards now present their first releases. They will soon appear at Parov Stelars Label "Etage Noir Special" and also be part of the new live-set which is combining their new studio- and live skills.
