Why is it worth to register?
With the registration it is faster and easier to get information, more comfortable and cheaper to buy concert tickets, and you can reach such exclusive contents and services that are only available for registered users. As a registered user you have the possibility to give us your favorite music genres to get selected further information about them. On the website you can buy tickets at a discount-price or book them in advance. Finally, as we mentioned before, you will be able to reach the exclusive contents, for instance interviews with the artists who play on the ship, or a report about a former event.
How does the registration process work?
For the registration you have to enter your first- and last name, your address (at least the city) and your email address. We marked them with a * to make it easier. It is necessary because for security reasons we register your ticket booking on the basis of your name, username, and email address. We are aware of your personality rights, and we assure you that we will not give your personal data to any third party without your permission. We won’t make tricks, so please be aware of them too.
You can upload avatar, namely a picture about yourself, your cat or Homer Simpson, which is recommended to be 60x60 pixels.
From the list of genres you can choose your favorite(s), or if you are interested in our restaurant programs, then that one. If an artist plays on the ship, who belongs to the genre you have chosen, or if there is a program in the restaurant that might be interesting for you, then two days before the event you will receive an automatic message about it. We remind you, that there are a lot of concerts on the A38 Ship, and these concerts are given by the bests of each genre. Please mark at least one genre during the registration. The registered users receive a weekly newsletter – delivered usually Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning – from the A38 Ship.
If you would like to modify any of your data, or delete your registration, you can do it under the menu “My Profile”.
Tickets
Hereby you can read about the different ways how to get a ticket. The only task is to choose which possibility is the most comfortable for you. You can buy a ticket via the internet through our website, which is the most comfortable and cheapest way to be surely get to the concert. Another method is to buy your ticket in advance from our cash-desk at the Ship. This is also a cheap solution, because you buy it in advance, but not a comfortable one, because you have to come to the Ship. To book a ticket at our website is also a comfortable possibility, but then you can’t buy it at the in advance price. Finally tickets are available at some ticket offices, which is neither comfortable nor cheap, but a sure way to get a ticket.

How does the A38 Ship’s online ticket purchasing system work? Who can purchase tickets on the website of the A38 Ship? What kind of credit cards can I use to purchase a ticket? Can I use my virtual webcard to buy a ticket? At what price can I purchase a ticket? There is no purchasing possibility for a program. What should I do? How shall I start the purchase of a ticket? How does the A38 Ship’s online ticket purchasing system work? It’s the online ticket purchasing system of InterTicket Kft that works on the website of the A38 Ship. By this you buy tickets for most of our events. This option is available directly from the program’s page or from the program list. In this system you can buy your ticket by only certain credit cards (the list is available below). This service is provided by the OTP Bank, and handles all your data according to the international standard of the safe 128 bit SSL encrypting.
Who can purchase tickets on the website of the A38 Ship? On the website of the A38 Ship (www.a38.hu) only registered users can buy tickets. The online purchasing is an exclusive service only for registered users. The registration is free, easy and provides several benefits and services. (To read more about the registration click here)
What kind of credit card can I use to purchase a ticket? For the events of the A38 Ship you can buy a ticket by the following credit cards: - All the embossed Visa or EuroCard/MasterCard, not depending on the issuer Bank; - All the credit cards provided by 16 numbers and issued by the OTP Bank We would like to inform you that none of the virtual webcards are accepted.
Can I use my virtual webcard to buy a ticket? No, the system doesn’t accept virtual webcard, not even if the card is issued by the OTP Bank.
At what price can I purchase a ticket? Via this website you can buy your ticket(s) for the events of the A38 Ship at the best price and in the most comfortable way. Two type of tickets are available for most of the programs: advance price or the (higher) price that is valid on the day of the concert. Via our website you can buy tickets at the advance price till the cash desk on the board don’t open. During the purchasing via our website we don’t charge any extra fee, you only have to pay the quoted in advanced price.
Many ticket offices sell tickets for the programs of the A38 Ship, but these offices may charge extra fees. You can read about this more here.
There is no purchasing possibility at a program. What should I do? If you can’t see the purchasing possibility at a program, you can’t see this picture xxxx, then three cases are possible: 1) the “devil of technology” meddled; 2) the tickets for this program are sold out; 3) tickets for this program are available only from the cash desk of the Ship. In these cases please call our cash-desk on the 464 39 40 phone number.
How shall I start to purchase a ticket? You will need a valid and acceptable credit card (see above), and the exact idea about the program for which you would like to purchase the ticket. On the website of the A38 Ship you can only buy tickets for those programs, where you can find the following picture: xxx. (Please remember that not every program has online ticket purchasing possibility!)
The online purchasing happens according to the “first come first served” method, independently from the fact that the concert is a standing or a sitting one. As the first step you have to state how many tickets you need for the given program. You can enter it on the page that appears after you clicked on the button “purchasing ticket”. Please notice that for one program you can purchase maximum 10 tickets at a time, because of security reasons to avoid random mistyping and unreal large scale ticket purchasing. If you chose the wanted number of tickets, put them into the “basket”.
What does the basket mean? The basket is a temporary collecting page, where you can keep, modify or delete those tickets that you chose for purchasing. You can put tickets from different programs into the basket, and buy them by one transaction. Be careful, because the tickets that you chose, but haven’t been purchased yet, will be deleted from the basket after a while.
How long will my tickets stay available in the basket before purchasing? Because of security reasons the tickets that you put into the basket but don’t purchase will be deleted after 12 minutes, and will become saleable again. The reason is that the tickets that you put into the basket will be handled as a booked ticket, so these won’t be available for anyone else. If occasionally – or on purpose – you leave the tickets in the basket, we won’t be able to sell them, because you booked them without paying. And then we will stand here with empty pocket. So you have 12 minutes to pay for the tickets.
How can I pay? After you clicked on the button “Pay” in the basket, a data format will be opened that is necessary to fill out to transact the payment.
Hopefully the opened data format is obvious, please fill it out correctly. The personal data is important, because we can reach you in case of any problem on the phone number and email address that you give here. Further comments are available on the payment page. If you filled all the data, there is nothing left, just click on the “Pay” button. Be aware, because after the click the system starts the transaction without any further questions!
I have already registered on the website. Why do I have to give my data again? Probably you will find it uncomfortable to give your data again, although you are already a registered user of the A38 Ship’s website. But the online purchasing system works from another database, and the prevailing data security regulation does not allow to link the two separated databases. So giving your data again is only for your security.
Is there any lower or upper limit of the purchase? The transactions don’t have any lower or upper amount limits, but you can buy only 10 tickets at a time.
How do I know that the transaction was successful? About the success or the failure of your transaction the system will inform you in two ways in 20-90 seconds after you clicked onto the ‘pay’ button. First of all, you will see a page that will inform you about the transaction(s), on the other hand you will get a confirmation email with the details of the purchase to the email address that you entered on the data format.
I would like to ask an invoice of the purchase. What should I do? If you need an invoice of the purchase, please indicate it in the cash-desk of the Ship, or call 464 39 40 between 11am and 11pm on the day of purchasing. Be careful, because we can only make out the invoice on the day of the transaction! If you bought the ticket via internet for any program of the A38 Ship, please ask the invoice from the InterTicket, they will make out it for you.
When and where can I receive my purchased ticket(s)? You can receive your formerly purchased tickets at any time (before the concert also) at the cash-desk of the A38 Ship. For this you will need two things: the confirmation code that you will find in the confirmation email, and your name. These will ensure us about the fact that you are the person who bought the ticket(s).
What happens if the performance for which I purchased tickets is cancelled? If the performance is cancelled we will inform you, on the phone number or email address that you gave us during the payment process, about the repurchasing or the further using possibility of the tickets.
Are the tickets bought online repurchase-able or changeable? We would like to inform you about the fact that the tickets bought online are not repurchase-able or changeable.
What happens with my personal data? The online ticket purchasing system on the website of A38 Ship is provided by the InterTicket Kft. that will store your data that you entered during the purchasing process. It is necessary in the interest of accomplishing the contract that come into force during the purchasing, and of being able to ensure further the condition of the contract. The InterTicket Kft. gives these data only to the Zászlóshajó Kft. that operates the A38 Ship to the aim of verifying the purchase. During the data handling, both of the firms act on the Data Security Law.
To whom can I turn if I would like know more about the purchasing? With further questions about the online purchasing you have to turn to the Helpdesk of the InterTicket that is available on weekdays between 10am and 6pm on the 266 76 76 phone number or on the helpdesk@interticket.hu email address.
Purchasing via internet is not a game. What are the references? The online purchasing system of the A38 Ship’s website is provided by one of the most trusted domestic ticket seller, the InterTicket Kft. The InterTicket as an exclusive service of the OTP Bank Rt. was the first to appear on the domestic market by handling credit card transactions. Ten thousand of Credit card owners used and use this type of ticket purchasing, and this number is growing.
Purchasing ticket on the A38 Ship
You can buy tickets on the board of the A38 Ship for the concerts, except for those ones that are free but an online booking is required for them. The cash-desk on the board is usually open between 11am and 12 pm, but on concert days it is open till the end of the concert. If you haven’t been here yet, you can find a short guide about the location of the Ship, and how to park.
Tickets by SMS
As a new service of A38 Ship, you can puchase cheaper tickets in advance by using your mobile phone. This offer is avaible only for tickets sold by the system of InterTicket, and only for the clients of T-Mobile. From January 2007 the ones contracted with Pannon will also have access. The events, for the ones it is possible to buy sms-tickets, have unique codes of InterTicket marked on the flyers, in brochures and of course on the webpage of A38 Ship. The code of A38 Ship (A38), code of the event and the number of tickets to purchase should be sent to the number +36 30 3444091 (a normal rate number). As a certificate you'll get an SMS with the details of your purchase. Please send back an empty reply message to this number within 3 minutes by which you confirm the details. After that you will receive a new SMS message with the reservation code. If you give this code at the caisse you can enter the concert or you will get your tickets (if you arrived in advance).
In practice: If you'd like to buy two tickets for a concert of 23 November (concert code: koncert1123) you should send This message to the above mentioned number: „/A38*koncert1123*2/" It is possible to use the symbols (*) or (,) to separate the details.
By the method of SMS-Ticket, You can get tickets at lower price and receive them during open hours of the caisse (Monday-Saturday: 11-24h). Don't forget that you can use this service only until 12 pm. on the day before the concert, after this limit you can buy tickets on A38 Ship.
In case of loss of your code - your telephone doesn't work, it has been stolen or you cleared the message of the reservation - we don't have the possibility to give you the tickets, not by any other means of identification (name or else).
If we run out of tickets for the concert that you chose, the system will send you a message to inform you. In case of the cancellation of the event we will inform you by sending an SMS with the details of the re-change or of other use of thoses tickets. Don't forget that the tickets purchased can't be given back or changed!
Tickets can be received by the reservation code in the caisse. The price of the ticket and the service price (10%+50 HUF) can be paid afterwards with your mobile phone bill or above a certain amount, having a Domino card it should be paid by the rechargeable m-com balance.
The value of tickets puchased can't exceed the amount of 20.000HUF, and because of security reasons for a purchase above 4000HUF a code of purchase is needed. (It can be asked on the webpage of T-Mobile or by SMS.) For further information about conditions, please, check the wegpage of T-Mobile.
Ticket Booking
It is a comfortable way to come and see a concert for the one you surely have a ticket. The online booked tickets must be paid and received before the concert, so you can get them at a full price on the day of the concert. Usually there are available tickets at an advance price (read more about it here), but it is not the online booking, so do not mix them up.
Only registered users can book tickets (and only through the site). You can book tickets only for those programs that have this opportunity, it is where you can find this image: xxx. You can book up to three tickets for the same program, and the deadline to do this is the midnight before. You will receive a confirmation e-mail about your booking.
Please remember that you can modify your booking only once or you can cancel it (also till the midnight before the concert), which you can do after you signed in on the A38 site at the My Reservations menu point.
Very important note: in case of booking via Internet we charge the "at the door" price of the ticket(s).
Please take your reservation seriously. If you do not pick the tickets that you had booked, we will have to cease your booking opportunity, no matter if you are a registered user. The tickets booked via Internet can not be cancelled by phone, e-mail or in person.
The difference between the online booking and purchasing is the following: When you book a ticket, you don’t buy it effectively, we just reserve it and you have to pay for it at its full price on the day of the concert. So it’s not as preferential as to purchase a ticket, but also a sure way to get a limited issued ticket. If you book a ticket but you don’t receive it before the concert (so you don’t pay for it), we will sell it to somebody else. It is good to know that if you book a ticket you have to pay the price that is valid on the day of the concert. This price is higher by 15-25 percent than the price you have to pay in advance, and this is valid for most of our concerts. When you purchase your ticket via internet, you effectively pay for it according to the condition we mentioned before. In this case – as you paid for it immediately – you get the tickets at any time aboard at a discount price. Of course we won’t sell your tickets to anybody else. It is possible that for some certain program you can just book or just purchase via internet a ticket You can pick your tickets booked via Internet on the day of the given concert, till the beginning of the concert at the cashier of the A38 Ship (daily open from 11am till 12 pm, but on concert days till the end of the program), after having paid the amount for the ticket at the price of "
Buying a ticket from a ticket office
Tickets for our programs are available at several ticket offices. We draw your attention that the ticket’s prices in the ticket office can differ from the price of the tickets that you buy at the Ship, because of the due. Tickets are available in the networks of Ticket Express, Interticket, Concert & Media and in some Libri bookshops and IBUSZ offices.
Accessibility, parking
The A38 Ship is located at the Petőfi Brdige Buda Side, and the easiest way to reach it by public transport is to take the trams nr 4 and 6 till the stop PETŐFI HÍD, BUDAI HÍDFŐ, and then you need only 2 minutes walk to get to the ship. Hereby you can find a map to get easier around. You will find parking opportunities at the Műegyetem Rakpart in front of the building of the ELTE University, where a big parking place is located. There are also parking places in front of the Ship, but these places are limited!
Rules of concert-visiting
If the program gets cancelled due to technical or other reasons, then and just then we will pay the price back to you within two weeks. It is forbidden to take to the auditorium any dangerous object. The organizers don’t assume responsibility for any injuries that occurred in persons or properties, if it is the result of irresponsible behavior of the audience. To operate any video, photo or voice recorder is allowed only with written permission. If there is any recording, where you can be seen, then you can’t have any claim from the organizers or from the recorders. In the concert hall there are mostly only standing places. The organizers have the right to change the place, the program or the time of the announced event.
Forum
The use of the forum is free. Everybody can read the comments, but to give a comment or to start a new topic you have to register on our webpage, that will give you many advantages. About the registration process you can read more here.
The A38 Ship does not assume full responsibility for the data or texts that appear in the forum, but it assumes till the rate of the Hungarian Content Providers Association defined in the Content Providers Codex. The A38 Ship does not check the authenticity and quality of the data that appear on the forum, so it can’t be challenged through the damages that these information caused. We delete the wrongdoer contents as soon as we become aware of it.
With sending the comments the commenter gives up all his/her claims of the copyright. To republish any of the contents of the forum you need the permission of the A38 Ship. The forum of the A38 Ship reserves the rights to delete those comments that break the moderating principles. Also reserve the right to abolish the membership of the person who breaks the principles several times.
Moderating Principles
The Forum of the A38 Ship is moderated due to the recommendations of the Hungarian Content Providers Association. Its available here, but unfortunately only in Hungarian) The moderators warrant the cultivated talk and not edit contents. It is possible that some incongruous content escape the moderators observation, so please if you notice some that disturb the cultivated talk write to the moderator@a38.hu email address.
The moderators will delete every:
Wrongdoer comments: All the comments that break the current Hungarian Law, or invite to do that. Publishing data protected by the law: personal, sensible, official, business or state secrets without permission. Vulgar and aggressive comments: pornographic and good taste breaker texts, fulmination of nations or national symbols, irreverence, hatred making, or placing links that point to such a webpage. Technical destroying: to copy long texts, mistyped html codes, comments without texts, and everything else that changes the topics extent, look or block the normal use of the topic. Content destroying: every comment that wants to block, disturb the cultivated and continuous talk, or the “off-topic” comments Flood: If the repeating is not willful then the moderator will delete the second comment. Willful flood is if somebody gives the same comment to more than three topic. Ads: advertising companies, products, services without permission. Those users, who break the moderating principles several times, will be blocked. The blocking extent to giving comments, but not to reading them or using in any other advantage of the registration.
